INTERDEPENDENCE OF TEACHING AND LEARNING

Teachers are an extremely important facet of any society for a multitude of reasons. Teachers are the people who educate the youth of the society and who in turn become the leaders of the next generation. Teachers are the people who are teaching children and imparting knowledge upon them, s they have a significant mark n the development of young children. Thus teaching and learning become interdependent, one cannot exist without the other. The following factors show how they are related.

FACTORS:

• The learning environment is supportive and productive.

• Teachers promote a culture of values and respect for individuals and communities.

• Teaching strategies promotes students self confidence and willingness to take risk with the learning.

• Each student experience success through structured support, the valuing of effort, and recognition of their work.

• The learning environment promotes independence, interdependence and self motivation.

• The teacher encourages and supports to take responsibilities o f their learning.

• The teacher capitalises on students experiences of a technology rich world.
